Faraali Dosa

Faraali Dosa

Ingredients
Sanwa (sama) Millet - 1/2 cup 
Rajgira Flour - 1/2 cup 
Sour Buttermilk - 1/2 cup 
Green chilli- ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
Rock salt (sendha namak) to taste
Oil 

Method

  • Pick, wash and soak sanwa millet in water for atleast 3 hours.
  • Drain and blend it to a fine paste using 2-3 tablespoon of water.
  • Pour the mixture to a bowl, add to it the rajgira flour, ginger-green chilli paste, buttermilk, and rock salt. Mix well. 
  • Cover and keep the batter aside to ferment overnight.
  • Heat a griddle (tava), pour a ladleful of the batter on the griddle and spread it in a circular outward motion to make a thin dosa.
Faraali Dosa
  • Smear few drops of oil along the sides. Cook till both the sides of the dosa turns golden brown in colour and fold over to make a semi-circle.                                                       Faraali Dosa    Faraali Dosa

  • Repeat with the remaining batter to make more dosas.
  • Serve hot with mint-coriander chutney or peanut curd chutney.
