Crispy Corn Recipe

I was not very fond of sweet corn but as i had crispy corn at Barbeque Nation, Bangalore, I became a big fan of it. It is a delicious and easy recipe served as starter or snack.

Crispy Corn

Prep Time - 10 minutes
Cook Time - 10 minutes

Ingredients
2 cup sweet corn kernels
4 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp rice flour
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 medium sized onion chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves chopped
salt to taste
chaat masala
oil

Method

  • Take sweet corn kernels in a large bowl.

  • Mix corn flour, rice flour and sweet corn kernels by adding little water so that the kernels get coated by the cornflour and rice flour.

  • Add salt, black pepper powder and red chilli powder.
  • Heat oil in a wok and deep fry kernels on medium flame till it become golden in color.
  • Once fried, drain it on absorbent paper.
  • After that, take 1-2 tsp oil in a separate wok or pan for the tempering.
  • Add chopped onion, green chilies, coriander leaves and saute for few seconds.
  • Add fried corn, mix well and saute for few more seconds.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot.
